BIOGRAPHY FINCENT

After finishing his study at the College of Graphics at Zwolle, Netherlands, Fincent (Vincent van der Feer, 1973) has held a number of Sales functions within various companies. Last year he devoted all his time to his one great passion: Painting portraits of Artists and loved ones and of other paintings. During his study, Fincent discovered that he was a natural at illustration.At the request of others he created, amongst others, wall and ceiling paintings. But until recently, his artistic work was not professional. In the summer of 2009 he decided to give up his job and start up his own company as a professional artist, specialising in painting portraits and other paintings.

METHOD OF WORKING IN OLD TRADITIONAL STYLE

Fincent uses the age old tradition of painting layer upon layer for his paintings and portraits. Transparant and not transparant layers are painted on top of each other, giving paintings more depth and the colours are warmer. This technique requires that you do not use paints straight from the tube. The old masters worked in the same way, with their own home-made oil paint. Due to the lengthy drying process, they often had to wait weeks before they were able to paint the next layer. This is the reason why Fincent has chosen to work with fast-drying oil paints to obtain the same affects.

UNIQUE IDENTITY

Fincent is an inspired, artistic creator who concentrates on paintings in various styles on canvas. He is a new face in the art world and is breaking new ground. Fincent: "A piece of art is very personal. I visit the client at their home or office. Before I get to work, I like to study the surroundings where the portrait or painting will hang for colour and style. This is very important, but not essential. A painting or portrait should become part of its surroundings and has a unique identity to the client.

EVERYTHING CAN BE PUT ONTO CANVAS

To the question of what Fincent was painting, he answered with a short and sweet answer. "everything is possible". At the start, he concentrated on the paining itself and unique portraits of present day and long forgotten famous people. Captured in the typical "fincent style" with his completely own style. In the meantime, Fincent has extended his work to other fields. For example a beautiful painting of your child(ren), other loved ones or yourself. Paintings of flowers and animals are also possible. Everything can be captured on canvas. A portrait is also an original present.

SIZES AND PRICES

Each painting has a canvas measurement of 40x40 cm, 80x80 cm, or 80x120 cm and is framed in a durable Red Cedar wood frame. The size of the painting, including frame are 72x72 cm, 112x112 cm and 112x152 cm. It is also possible to adhere to any specific preferences. Prices: on request.

SEEING IS BELIEVING

That Fincent has found a new and successful career became clear with the three editions of the Dito-tour. "As a partner of Dito I presented my paintings during the Dito Tour Events "live" to the public. This allowed me to present my exclusive artistic talents and to create awareness of my possibilities.
